Shaun Curtis is the Director of Metal Liverpool, joining Metal following four years working across Tate Modern, Tate Britain, and Tate Liverpool. He has worked internationally curating, commissioning, and producing many multidisciplinary performances, exhibitions, and events.
Often with a focus on the intersection between music and visual art, Shaun has worked across a broad spectrum of disciplines in collaboration with many artists and creative organisations. These include Warp Records, Punchdrunk, Actress, Jeremy Deller, Matthew Herbert, and Martin Creed. Metal is an arts organisation with three sites across the UK. Metal Liverpool is based at Edge Hill station, the oldest active passenger railway station in the world, a unique space from which they run multidisciplinary artist development programmes, residencies, public art projects, and events.
