Shawn James Seymour is half of Lullatone, a Japan-based group whose albums are like love letters to all of life’s little moments.
They hope to turn the mundane into magic with their melodies for everyday adventures. More “home music” than “house music” and more “commuter music” than “computer music,” they also compose custom songs and sound design for clients like Google, Dropbox, IBM and more. Recent years have found them branching out to create apps and instruments, which even landed Shawn a job as the foreign guy who makes instruments on a Japanese children’s TV show! He is excited to talk to the audience about the funny stories and details that went into making the sounds for Patatap.
