Who is Loop for?

Loop is an event for music makers: artists, technologists, educators, and creative thinkers. It is a gathering of creators who are interested in not just observing, but also in participating and joining the conversation.

We believe a healthy music making community is one with a diversity of voices and perspectives. We embrace diversity of gender, genre, age and cultural identity.

We want everyone at Loop to feel safe and welcome at all times. You can read our Code of Conduct, but the short version is pretty straightforward: treat everyone with respect.

Are there any hotel recommendations?

For information about accommodation please check our City Map on the Loop website. There you also find tips for drinks, food and entertainment.

Are there any Hotels offering a discount for Loop attendees ?

Hotel Catalonia in Berlin-Mitte will provide you with a special rate (89 EUR per night) when mentioning the booking code "Ableton". There is limited capacity for discounts.

I want to attend. How do I get a ticket?

Because of the limited capacity at Loop, tickets will be allocated via a lottery. Please sign up at the registration page where you will be prompted to answer a few questions about yourself. We will accept applications from anyone involved in making music until July 20. We’re not judging your work, but we do want to make sure you’re actively making it.

To meet our vision of a healthy and diverse music technology community, we will group applications to ensure a balanced mix of ages and genders.

In late July, tickets will become available for purchase to those who are allocated a spot in the lottery. If you are offered a slot, you will be notified by email and will have one week to purchase a ticket. If you do not purchase your ticket within this time, it will be allocated to the next person in line.

How much does a ticket cost?

Regular price tickets are 300 EUR. For full time students tickets are 150 EUR. We recognise that not everyone making music can afford these prices, and in order to include as many differing perspectives as possible, we are offering a limited number of subsidized tickets at the reduced cost of 50 EUR for Loop 2016. In order to distribute these passes, we have added a new question to our registration form: “Do you need a subsidized ticket in order to attend Loop?” Here you can provide any information you feel is relevant.

What does the ticket include?

The ticket grants you entry to all activities at Loop, including one workshop and one studio session. The ticket is also valid for the nighttime program of concerts and club performances staged in partnership with CTM and CDR.

How do I signup for workshops and studio sessions?

Because of the small group format of these events, studio sessions and workshops will require pre-registration. Registrations will open in October 2016. Each Loop ticket holder will be able to register for one workshop and one studio session.

Is there an age restriction to attend Loop Berlin?

Yes, you must be 18 or older to attend the event.

How long is the registration open until?

Registration opened on 18 May. The final date of registration is 20 July, 2016.

Can I resell or transfer my ticket?

No, because we want to give people on the waiting list the chance to attend. However, if you can’t attend the event, you can get a full refund for your ticket until 30 September via our ticketing service.

Why are there so few tickets on sale?

Unfortunately, due to limited capacity at the venue, we are required to limit the number of tickets available.

Do you offer student discounts?

We offer tickets at a discounted price of 150 EUR for full-time students.

Can I purchase more than one ticket?

Due to the limited capacity and high demand, each person can only buy one ticket.

Who do I contact if I have a question about my ticket?

Please contact looptickets@ableton.com.
