Barbara Morgenstern

Born on March 19th,1971 in Hagen, lives in Berlin since 1994, where she works as an electronic musician, composer and choir-conductor.

Since 1998, she has released 7 solo-records at the Berlin based label Monika Enterprise, which were accompanied by numerous live performances.
2003/2004 Barbara Morgenstern was invited by the Goethe Institute to play a world tour with 34 stations.

The current album „Doppelstern“ is a collaboration projekt, every song was composed with a different partner, as there are:
T.Raumschmiere, Hauschka, Gudrun Gut, Justus Köhncke, Robert Lippok, Corey
Dargel, Lucrecia Dalt, Julia Kent, Coppé, Tonia Reeh, Richard Davis,

Jacaszek & Chor der Kulturen der Welt.

Since June 2007, she is the head of the "Chor der Kulturen der Welt" at the House of World Cultures in Berlin.
They collaborated with: Arto Lindsay, Planning To Rock, Harmonia, Mocky, Meridian Brother, The Lappetites, Tomi Simatupang, Van Dyke Parks, Roedelius, Sam Lee etc.

On January 15th, 2016 Barbara Morgenstern and the choir performed „Lautarchiv“ at the festival „Singing War“ at th House of World Cultures, Berlin, a colletiv-composition by Ari ŃBenjamin Meyers, Hauschka and Barbara Morgenstern based on recordings of prisoners from german prison camps during World War One.
