MNTN is a spatial audio software project originating from the sound scenography studio TAUCHER in Berlin.

Technical complexity or high costs of specialized hardware tend to impede creative work on projects that go beyond the 7.1 surround. Johannes Scherzer, Benjamin Schulz, and Lukasz Polowczyk have put their know-how and their love for immersive environments into building MNTN, while keeping in mind the reality of production conditions in the cultural scene: small budgets and the need for intuitive tools. After recently launching MNTN, we’re eager to share our insights in spatial audio production with the greater sound community and to learn from the sonic experiments that emerge from it.
