Subatomic Sound System

NYC’s Subatomic Sound System has built a reputation worldwide for explosive shows and genre bending production with their unique adaptation of 1970’s Jamaican sound system culture and dub reggae studio techniques.

The band have forged a strong partnership with reggae legend Lee Scratch Perry, and have toured with Scratch for the past six years as a hybrid of Ableton Live-based electronics and live musicians, including veterans of Jamaica's Black Ark studio sessions. Their balance of classic Scratch production and new school bass music began back in 2007 with a series of dubstep remixes and has culminated in this year's 40th anniversary Super Ape album tour, bringing one of Scratch's masterpiece studio creations to the stage for the first time.
