Born out of a desire to create an efficient tool for processing audio, Yann Orlarey developed Faust (Functional AUdio STream) DSP – a programming language that works at sample level and can be used to easily implement signal processing algorithms in the form of libraries, audio plug-ins, or standalone applications.
In this workshop Yann Oralery will introduce you to the basic concepts of Faust and quickly get you up and coding. You will be shown how to create your own VST plug-ins or, if you are already using Faust, how to extend your existing musical environment.
Some basic programming experience is recommended. Please bring a laptop with FaustLive installed plus your own headphones.
Due to the small group format of these events, workshops will require pre-registration. Registrations will take place in October 2016. Each Loop ticket holder will be able to register for one workshop.
