Bill Kouligas is a Berlin-based artist, designer and musician, and the founder of multidisciplinary platform and record label PAN.
Kouligas was deeply immersed in the European noise scene before arriving in Berlin, after growing up in Athens on a steady dose of hardcore, post-punk and new wave, as well as a tenure working as a graphic designer in London. PAN was established in 2008 to document the music of Kouligas’ friends, while also creating a platform to explore his own graphic interests, and the cross-section of ideas that lie in-between.
Under several aliases, Kouligas has produced and composed electronic music for nearly 15 years, and performed in venues such as London’s ICA, MoMA PS1, Volksbühne, Kammerspiele Munich, V&A Museum and global festivals and club institutions. Throughout his work he has collaborated with artists such as Harm van den Dorpel, Seth Price, Paweł Althamer, Spiros Hadjidjanos, Mat Dryhurst and Nora Khan, among others.
