The process of building and developing tracks in a studio setting is often privy to the creator and a close-knit circle of collaborators – at most. Track Deconstructions at Loop are an opportunity for attendees is the chance to hear and experience what the track sounds like ‘under the hood’ and gain an understanding of how the track with all its key elements came to be, guided by the creator.
Starting with the original project file, creators will take us through the arrangement, describing key elements, explaining their choices of sounds and effects as well as their approach to mixing and final completion. In this session, we will learn how JD Twitch edits and remixes tracks on the fly as part of his DJ sets.
In the intimate setting of Hall 2, there’ll also be plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions, and help steer the session in a direction that you can apply to your own technical practice.
