You’ve written and recorded a song, now you want to play it live. But what’s the best way to go about it? Many electronic music makers grapple long and hard with questions of how to translate their studio productions into compelling stage performances.
In this session, Rachel K Collier will demonstrate her approach to the matter. Using her song Paper Tiger as an example, she’ll show her own techniques for breaking down song parts into clips and scenes for performance. Collier will cover the process form the beginning and provide tips and tricks for balancing the fun of impromptu performance with recreating the structure and elements of a song.
Studio Sessions are for small groups and require pre-registration. Sessions are only accessible if you have a ticket which includes access to the Workshops and Studio Sessions program – for information, check the FAQ. Registration is now open.
