Kaki King's “The Neck is the Bridge to the Body” is a multi-media performance that uses projection mapping to present the guitar as an ontological tabula rasa in a creation myth unlike any other, where luminous visions of genesis and death, textures and skins, are cast onto a guitar customized specifically for this production.
In this Studio Session, King and her visual collaborator will be deconstructing their live setup for “The Neck is the Bridge to the Body”, touching on topics such as projection mapping, audio-reactivity, and live performance with acoustic guitar and plugins.
Studio Sessions are for small groups and require pre-registration. Sessions are only accessible if you have a ticket which includes access to the Workshops and Studio Sessions program – for information, check the FAQ. Registration is now open.
