Kevin Marques Moo, better known by his stage name Daddy Kev, is a Grammy-nominated mixer, mastering engineer and producer from Los Angeles.
Owner of Alpha Pup Records and founder of the clubnight Low End Theory. In his work as an engineer, he’s amassed a discography of more than 400 projects since 1998, with credits on various classic albums by Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Run The Jewels, ODESZA, Mr. Oizo and many more.
He was nominated for a Grammy Award (Best Dance Recording) in 2016 for mixing the Flying Lotus song "Never Catch Me" featuring Kendrick Lamar. Moo was described by Pitchfork as "one of the Los Angeles underground's most visionary producers. His style exemplifies the steady bleeding of hip-hop culture into the more highbrow aspects of art."
At Loop this year, Daddy Kev will host two studio sessions offering a close-up insight into the production process and creative thinking – focusing in particular on his approach to mastering in-the-box.
