Dani Deahl has been at the forefront of artist discovery and meaningful industry change for over a decade.
Deahl is a DJ, producer, and public speaker, holds an editorial position at DJ Mag, helms the YouTube series The Future of Music, and is a Governor for the Recording Academy. As an artist, Dani blends trap and house to create bass-forward sets that are technically savvy and high energy. She has released trap, twerk, and hard-hitting house with labels like Dim Mak, Monstercat, Flamingo, Cr2 and Armada. She has also been the subject of two documentaries, played festivals around the world such as Spring Awakening, Lollapalooza, and EDC, hosted her own radio show, and has been an official Red Bull DJ.
Dani has been heralded for her impact in music by MTV, THUMP, Billboard, Yahoo, the Chicago Tribune, and many others. She's an expert on the topics of gender equality in music and marketing for musicians, with engagements at TEDx, Oberlin College, Miami Music Week, Macworld, Red Bull Hack The Hits, and more. She has also been the first to tap acts to watch such as Crywolf, Louis the Child, The Chainsmokers, The Knocks, Dillon Francis, and Flosstradamus. As of 2018, Dani is an elected Governor for the Recording Academy, engaging in outreach and professional development for the dance music community.
