Studio & Listening Sessions

Studio Session with Sudan Archives

This 90-minute small group Studio Session is an opportunity to gain insight into the processes and creative thinking of performer and producer Sudan Archives.

In this session, Sudan will take us on her creative journey from introverted bedroom producer to touring stage performer. She’ll share the specific ways that live looping technologies have informed her process of composition with her violin and an array of amplified West African instruments. We’ll get a sense for how these sounds have been blended into hi-fi productions in the studio, and perhaps most importantly, we’ll hear how collaboration has been an integral part of all of this.

Studio Sessions are for those with tickets that include Workshop and Studio Session access. Groups are small, and require prior registration – ticket holders will be notified via email when sign-up opens on October 16th.
