‘Passing By’: Spherical Aberration and Lossz

Spaces like Silent Green – originally a crematorium – can often inspire conflicting feelings of aloneness and togetherness, or a curious combination of the two.

Through interactive visuals and varied sound compositions, this installation by Spherical Aberration and Lossz aims to reflect these contrasting feelings of solitude and community by offering a visual experience that everyone shares, mixed with audio in headphones that is intended to be a private listening experience.

Spherical Aberration is Ioana Bilea, an artist and performer whose work is rooted in the intersections of science and art. Lossz is Hayden Prosser, a musician whose background in jazz performance and sound art help him find the intricacies that lie between acoustic and electronic sonic worlds.
